At Premier Catch, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword, it’s part of who we are. And today, we’re thrilled to share a big step forward: we’ve officially transitioned to fully recyclable packaging for all our frozen seafood orders!
This has been a dream of ours for years. As a small, women-owned brand working with third-party logistics (3PL) partners, we’ve had to get creative. Until now, we relied on standard packaging provided by our warehouses, but we knew we could do better. So, we made the leap: we designed our own packaging from the ground up, and we couldn’t be prouder every time a box arrives on a customer’s doorstep.
Here’s what’s new:
Outer Packaging
Your order now ships in a durable, corrugated cardboard box made from recycled materials and printed with water-based inks. It’s fully curbside recyclable, no need to separate anything. Just break it down and place it in your recycling bin.
Inner Thermal Liners
Inside the box, you’ll find cellulose thermal liners that are both recyclable and compostable. These liners are made from post-industrial corrugated cardboard scraps, which is a renewable, eco-friendly material we’re proud to stand behind.
Even better? They’ve been rigorously tested to maintain safe frozen temperatures throughout transit, offering better insulation than many common liner alternatives.
Why It Matters
Shipping frozen seafood sustainably is tricky — it requires durable materials, superior insulation, and protection against the elements. But with this new system, we’re reducing waste without compromising the quality you expect from us.
